Theater Students!                      
I am so lucky I get to be your Theater teacher at Burns Park!
I look forward to meeting new faces and reconnecting with many of you!
In Theater this year, we will focus on CREATING and HAVING FUN.

I have created a Google Drive folder that contains many ideas for your Theater studies at-home. These are all suggestions, so feel free to pick and choose based on what sounds interesting to you and what you have the time and energy to accomplish!

Activities in the folder include:
  • Scripts for you to read through by yourself or with someone at home along with a worksheet for you to complete for each play you read.
  • Pantomime & Movement activities. Remember, pantomime is moving/acting without sound (like a mime)
  • Online Activities including a resource for listening to professional actors reading stories (https://www.storylineonline.net/), taking a backstage tour of the Royal Shakespeare Company (Google Expeditions App), Radio Plays and Podcasts with folktales (https://www.wbur.org/circleround), an interactive opera design game (http://classicalkusc.org/kids/opera/), and links to many Broadway musical videos (including an inside look of the characters of THE LION KING )
  • Writing/Drawing/Creating: This folder includes funny animal photos to help inspire story writing, a worksheet for you to invent a fairy tale character, and drawing pages (great for K-2). And with paper and pencil, you can always write your own play! I would love to read
  • Directions on how to Create Your Own Puppet Theater
  • Theater Games
